Understanding Behavior
How children grow and develop
a) how the home and community environments can affect health, attitude, behavior, and learning; b) how to examine and improve  your home environment to help your child do well; and c) stories that inspire and encourage.

Children's behavior reflects their stage of development
When we refer to place here, we are mainly referring to location, particularly the home. We include where the home is situated: what buildings, facilities,  and natural resources are nearby; and who lives in the neighborhood. We focus on who and what are in a home, and the relationships among the people who liv

You have probably heard of the African proverb that, it takes a village to raise a child. Some of you probably say, "No way! I don't see any village buying food and clothes for my child!"  Think about this Chinese proverb  that states, a child's life is like a piece of paper on which every passerby leaves a mark.

What is Place and why it is important
When we refer to place here, we are mainly referring to location, particularly the home. We include where the home is situated: what buildings, facilities,  and natural resources are nearby; and who lives in the neighborhood. We focus on who and what are in a home, and the relationships among the people who live there and those who visit.

Why is it important to pay attention to the home environment?

Getting Support
Collaborating with others: Because we can't do it alone
A platform is a way to advocate for policies and procedures that improve the quality of the places where your children live and learn. These places include homes, schools, and communities. Through a platform, you work with groups and individuals to bring about this change.

Building and finding support within the community
Every person your child meets has an impact on your child's life, for good or not. That is the reason why it takes a village. The experiences that your child has, the resources that are available, the quality of the relationships, all affect how your child's brain develops. They affect your child's health, behavior, and ability to learn. They affect who and what your child becomes.  That is why it is so important to examine and improve the home environment, the cradle where your child's foundation begins.
